Ah, yes. The Shy guy. These are the hardest of all teenage boys to get a date with. While most teenage men flirt and cuss a lot, the shy boy tends to be much more polite, yet insecure and skeptical at the same time. But if they do choose to, they will grow a crush on a girl. If you think you are this girl, here is how to fully know if they really like you.

Steps

  1. Watch for Eye Contact. Shy men try to keep their themselves hidden, yet observe at you as much as possible. This is a sign that they are interested in you. If you notice him making eye contact, he will look away as quickly as possible. This doesn't mean he doesn't like you, he's only afraid of actually confronting you.
  2. Be aware that he may try to avoid any type of confrontation. When he's at his locker and you're walking down the hall, he may try to hide himself or even run away if he thinks you're trying to talk to you or if you're walking with your friends. In this case, try to keep as far away as possible. The more distant you are, the more he will look at you since he has a better chance at looking at you since you may not notice. This may sound creepy, but it's rather romantic.
  3. Watch his actions when you are talking to him. If you're trying to talk to this shy gentleman, he will probably become clumsy and have blurred/stalled speech. Try to let him approach you. If you find that he's talking to your friends but not you, this doesn't necessarily mean he's trying to make you jealous. He's actually building up confidence in you and that you're "the one". He may also try to communicate with you in different ways such as the Internet and notes.
  4. If he does attempt to try to ask you out, pay full attention to him and try not to have any of your friends around. It's a fact that 90% of shy guys show their true feeling to a girl when no one else is around. He may mess up a bit, but don't tease him for it. Shy guys are very introverted and are deeply effected when people close to him tease him.

  • Be happy. Shy guys love it when their crush blushes or smile around them. It makes them feel special and have that warm feeling inside of them. This will boost his confidence into having a relationship with you.
  • Don't rush a relationship. If a guy is shy, he will want to be friends with you first, which eventually leads to a relationship. This means that he wants to be use to being around you. When he does, he will show his true colors.
  • Shy men tend to have few friends. So when you think the time is right, ask him to be friends.
  • Because he is shy, he won't talk unless he feels like he has to. Find conversation topics that you can elaborate on and bond off of those. Soon he will be talking to you because he wants too!

Warnings

  • Do not try to stalk him. This will only make him feel insecure and stay away from you furthermore. He may even develop a harsh attitude and not even realize it. Try not to do stalk him or have your friends stalk him. His feelings will be crushed and chances of being around him are near zero.
  • Shy guys despise sarcasm and personal jokes. Shy guys like people that are loyal and mean everything they say, in a positive way of course.
