Go to a quiet comfortable place where you can hear yourself think and let your creativity run wild. It is time to enter your own imaginary world and create anything you'd like.

Steps

  1. Focus your thoughts on a world. Make it how you want it - don't stress yourself. Just relax and go with the world how it is if you don't like it then focus on a topic more suitable for you. Don't let anyone distract you. Feel free in the world of your thoughts.
  2. Build on to your surroundings make it more colorful or make imaginary characters, such as elves, pixies, vikings or similar.
  3. Base it on something you already know but make sure that this is very loosely interpreted. Some examples might be your hometown, a large city, a book, or a movie.
  4. Test your creativity by thinking a little more in-depth. What is the government type? How did the world come to be? What religion do the people practice? Are there any wars going on?
  5. Name your town. Think deeply and try to come up with a name that is easy to say and pronounce. If you are an author, and want to write fantasy books, this is how to start! you can come up with the setting and characters by the above steps!

Making a City

  1. Get a few pieces of paper for drawing the outline of your city.
  2. Name your city. Is it a small residential city or a developed industrial city? Name it accordingly.
  3. Write the details of your city on the top of the paper. Write down its name, its population , its inhabitants and other details.
  4. Draw the structures. You can draw buildings, factories, community centres, malls, and other structures.
  5. Keep drawing until you are satisfied. Remember that the sky's the limit!

Tips

  • Don't be afraid of coming up with something new and different.
  • Remember that anything can happen in your world, anyone(anything)can speak or move too.
  • Never think you can't because you can.
  • Use your imagination and don't be afraid to be extreme.
  • You should draw maps of your world, then you would know the geography of your world.
  • Focus your thoughts.
  • If your mind isn't doing what you want it to do then visualize another world.
  • Most people will think that they need to remember any depth they go into with this. Actually, its not true. You don't need to write it down until you know it's perfect. If you write it down too soon, it will not be complete.
  • Try to use your own Imaginary figures.

Warnings

  • Don't base it too firmly on anything, or it won't be your own.
  • People may make fun of you if they know that you make up imaginary lands and stuff, so be careful who you talk about it with.
  • Make sure you don't spend all of your time on this: you may become isolated from your friends and family if you aren't very careful here.
