Starting as an adult can suck right? Well with this guide you'll be able to live as a teenager in your own house in the sims 3. It's really simple.

Steps

  1. Create 2 Sims in Create-a-Sim. One MUST be an adult or young adult, the other obviously will be the teenager (note that this doesn't work with Sim children as they cannot cook or work) you'll be playing with so make him/her good.
  2. Move them into a normal house. It doesn't need to be magnificent. You can use the cheat "freerealestate" to get a free house.
  3. Once that's done, send the teenager off into town and get the adult to cook. Make him/her stop when they've put it in the oven.
  4. A fire should start, your Sim hop about screaming about it and then (hopefully so it works)the adult will die. Grim reaper comes, etc.
  5. And you're done, just move the grave somewhere and you'll be able to live as a teenager on your own.

Alternative Method

  1. Create an adult Sim in CAS. Make them the gender of the teenager you want but don't worry about looks. Assign the traits you want though.
  2. Move the Sim into the house as you would a normal family.
  3. Turn on "testingcheatsenabled true" and shift+click the Sim, then choose "Edit Sim in CAS".
  4. Once CAS loads, change the Sim's age to a teenager and then edit them as a teenager as you would a normal Sim.
  5. When you're done editing, click the tick on the bar along the bottom. You will be returned to the ordinary game with a teenage Sim.

Alternative Method

  1. Create the teenage Sim of your dreams that you are going to play with.
  2. Create a random adult or young adult Sim.
  3. Move them into a house as you would normally.
  4. Open the cheats window CTRL + SHIFT + C
  5. Type in ' Testingcheatsenabled true ' without quotation marks, then click enter.
  6. Play as your teenage Sim, and shift click on your adult Sim -Shift Click = pressing shift and clicking at the same time-
  7. Click on Object...
  8. Click Delete.
  9. Your adult Sim will be gone! - This method is better than killing your adult Sim because your other Sims won't mourn for their loss and won't even realize that he's / she's gone!

Tips

  • It's best to place the grave somewhere other than your lot as the adult ghost haunts you and it is seriously annoying.
  • Remember to get rid of the fire alarm, we don't want the firemen coming and stopping the fire now do we?
  • Fire isn't the only way to kill a Sim, you can drown them, starve them, etc.
  • You might want to use "testingcheatsenabled true" or the "Heart of Stone" Lifetime reward to get rid of the extremely low moodlet when your other Sim dies.

Warnings

  • Testingcheatsenabled is a very powerful cheat and can wreak havoc with a game if used improperly (like deleting sims randomly by shift clicking on them etc.). You may wish to turn it off again once finished with.
