Steps

  1. Before we start our makeover you first need to take a shower. Get refreshed. If you curl your hair or straighten it or whatever you like to do to feel beautiful! You don't want your hair to look oily, and if you do straighten or curl your hair you have to have your hair completely dried and avoid the risk of damaging your curling iron or straightener.
  2. Either in the shower or after the shower wash your face. It is much easier to do it in the shower, but some people have different opinions. If some of you wash your face two times a day but you still have no results here are two personal tips. If you have acne, a very good cleanser is Cetaphil. It is dermatologist recommended.
    1. Try to keep your hands away from your face as much as possible.. why? Because, your hands have oil and if you keep touching your face, the oil will cause blemishes.
  3. Brush, floss, and mouthwash. All models you see on T.V. have perfect pearls, but you don't need those kind of teeth to feel beautiful. Still, a good choice would be apples. Apples not only taste good but they whiten your teeth.
  4. Let your hair air dry. It takes a while, but blow-drying your hair can really cause damage.
  5. While your hair is drying.. figure out what you want to do with your hair. Do you want to straighten it? Do you want to curl it? Or do you just want to put it up? If you straighten or curl your hair let your device heat up for about 5-10 min.
  6. Give yourself a manicure/pedicure. Pick a more mature nail polish like a coral, light red, or even clear. French Manicures are also very fashionable. Even if you don't have a kit for it, it can be achieved with white polish, pink polish, tape and patience. But beware: purple, green, and black often looks tacky. If you aren't good at nails ask somebody else to do them.
  7. Very carefully get a small fan and put your nails under it for about 10-20 minutes. Do not put your nails too close to the fan or the polish will dry unevenly and warp.
  8. Remove Curlers (if needed).
  9. Pick out a beautiful outfit with some matching accessories. Match your clothes so it looks very feminine. Stay away from furry clothes.
  10. Apply cosmetics. Remember that the less noticeable your make up is the more natural and beautiful you will look.
  11. Try to be seen in public, meaning go to a restaurant or to the movies. You want to show off your mini makeover don't you?

Tips

  • When you take a shower, wash your hair thoroughly. You really only need to condition your hair near the bottom. If you condition a lot around your scalp your hair will feel more oily.
  • Brush, floss, and mouthwash. All models you see on TV or in magazines do have beautiful white teeth. Apples and strawberries not only taste good but they whiten your teeth.
  • Avoid rubbing eyes, this will also cause dark circles.
  • Get a good night's sleep. If you are a kid, aim for 8-10 hours of sleep . If you are an adult, get 6-8 hours of sleep. If you don't sleep for long enough, your eyes will have dark circles under them.
  • Dark circles can be caused by gluten intolerance.

Warnings

  • Beware that letting yourself go is easy to slip back into, so make the best out of your makeover.
  • Never go overboard with your cosmetics (makeup).
  • Make sure before you touch anything that your nails are dry. You can sometimes tell if it is dry if the strong nail polish smell has kind of toned down and is less strong or noticeable. Nail polish stains clothes, so be careful.

Things You'll Need

  • Manicure/pedicure set (including nail polish of your choice).
  • Shampoo and conditioner that works well on your hair.
  • Cosmetics
