Tips

  • If your new domain isn’t taking you to your blog, wait another day or two to make sure all the DNS servers have been updated. If it still isn’t working, contact your register to make sure you entered the DNS settings correctly.
  • If you are setting sub domain like www.mydomain.com instead of my domain.com and if you want to point your nick domain i.e.mydomain.com to your blog, you also have to add four A records to dns settings of your domain to these ip address as follows :
    • 216.239.32.21
    • 216.239.34.21
    • 216.239.36.21
    • 216.239.38.21
  • Your original Blogspot address will automatically forward to your new domain. That way, any existing links or bookmarks to your site will still work.
  • You can see those address listed in that same page.
  • Your posted images will also continue to display on your blog.
