The GAME:PAD 4 controller for PlayStation 4 might stop working properly, after you update the console itself. The most common sign is that the GAME:PAD 4 loses its connection to the PS4. After unplugging and reconnecting the GAME:PAD 4, it might work again, but another disconnect most likely occurs after a few minutes. Steps

  1. Go to http://www.gamepad4.com. There you will find the standard manual of the GAME:PAD 4, a firmware update and a manual describing the update procedure.
  2. Click on the download button in the "firmware" section to download a ZIP file. This contains the latest firmware and the update manual.
  3. Use a program like WinZIP or WinRAR to unpack the files of the downloaded ZIP file. You will find two files inside:
    • The update for your GAME:PAD 4 (ends with .exe)
    • The manual for the update procedure (ends with .pdf)
  4. Open the update file.
