This will teach You how to remove the protection from iTunes files.

Steps

  1. Download Audacity, a free program, from the Internet.
  2. Then, open Audacity in go to File, Import, Audio.
  3. Find the song you want to convert, and open it.
  4. Play the song to make sure it is the right song.
  5. Export (File, Export) the song to a place where you can find it easily.
  6. Then go into iTunes and import the song. (File, Import or File, Add to Library)

Alternative Method

  1. Add songs to a new playlist in iTunes.
  2. Burn to a blank CD.
  3. Rip CD into Windows Media Player or anything other than iTunes.

Tips

  • If Audacity doesn't recognize the file, play the song and select main mix from the input list. Then record the song and export like normal. If there is no Main mix selection run a stereo cable (two rings on the ends) from the mic input on the computer to the headphones output, and select the line input in the input select, then record the song and export.
