Make a Fan Fort

Steps

Get a big plug-in fan. The little kind you put on desks isn't gonna work. Next, you need to find a fitted sheet - the kind with the elastic on it that you have to tuck under the mattress. Finally, you will need a tall, heavy object like a chair or a small table.
- If you plan on putting stuff in your fort, you may need a couple of things to use as paperweights to hold down light stuff.
Put the fan near a power outlet. You don't want to get your fort all set up, and then find that you can't plug it in because it's too far away from an outlet!
- The fan should be off right now.
Now take the fitted sheet. Stretch it out. Take the short end and put it over the fan. Now tuck it under the bottom like you would when making your bed.
Fasten the other end of the sheet. Grab the very end of the other end of the sheet, the one not tucked under a fan, and put your tall, heavy object on it.
Now you can plug in your fan and turn it on. You should be looking at a big bubbly fort.
Crawl inside your fort and bring your stuff in too. Just put paperweights on light stuff so it does not blow away. Enjoy your fort!

This will be a relief for hot, sunny days.
If you can't stand a fan blowing on you all the time, this may not be the fort for you.
Electric fans and not toys. You may not be given permission to play with a fan if you ask to do so.
Careful with getting too near to the fan, as you do not want to get your hair stuck.

Don't stick your fingers in the fan while it's turned on.
Don't get electrocuted when plugging stuff in.
Don't drop anything heavy on yourself.
Don't suffocate yourself in the sheet. Have an adult supervise you.
Running a fan for an extended time is likely to increase your household power bill.
